WHAT WORKCAMPS ARE ?

Workcamps originated in Europe around late twenties.. As vehicle of community development and international education, these projects receive universal support from different countries and they are approved by the United Nations.

A workcamp is above all a unique form of voluntary service for all the people aged 18 and over from different countries, cultures and backgrounds; gathered to work for the benefit of the local communities or non-governmental organisations (NGO).

They bring together people from different countries, races, cultures, religions and beliefs to live and work on projects on voluntary basis. Each workcamp will be different in size, sex or international composition and of course the personalities of the participants.

Workcamps are an open hug for everyone regardles the race, nationality, religion, belief, sex, social position, education and age. Although there is no upper age limit, in many countries (some countries applies an age range) most of the participants are young people between 18-30 years of age.
